Have you ever walked into a hotel room that had a dirty fan on the ceiling? Of course not! It’s a hotel — and they are known for their cleanliness. We all know that Airbnbs or short term rentals are different than hotels. However, as a host, your cleanliness should never fall short. That is one of the top 5 items every guest looks for.
In a previous post, we talked about the overall cleanliness of your Airbnb and what to focus on. Today, I’m trying to help you to not overlook one of the most important items. The FAN! Ceiling fan’s have a natural way of collecting dust while they are spinning and pushing around air. But you’d never really notice it if you either looked up while cleaning or if the guest turned off the ceiling fan during their stay.
My suggestion to make sure you are always ahead of the game? Whenever you go to the Airbnb to clean… turn off all of your ceiling fans and make a note of how they are doing.
- No dust and clean as a whistle? Check them off your list!
- Look up and see dust hanging off the edges? It is time for your monthly deep clean.
- If you are about to start a ‘Deep Clean’ Frequency/Timeline put ceiling fans on a 4 weeks schedule.
